13 New Songs Out Today

So many artists, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we'd call "indie," and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. In these concertless times, that includes daily livestreams and live concert videos we love. We publish a monthly playlist of some of our favorite tracks. Here's a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.

YEAR OF THE KNIFE - "MANIPULATION ARTIST"

Rising metallic hardcore band Year of the Knife have debuted the third single off their upcoming Kurt Ballou-recorded Pure Noise debut, Internal Incarceration. Frank Turner has shared another song off West Coast Vs. Wessex, a split album with NOFX where both artists cover the other's songs. "It’s a beautiful lyric and melody, and I wanted to come at the song in a way that would lay that bare and highlight the beauty of the writing." Frank turns the skate punk original into a bare-bones folk song, and it's genuinely cool to hear the song reimagined this way.

Lots more freedom in disillusion, lots more breathing space." "Let's See" is charmingly low-fi.
