So many artists, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we'd call "indie," and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. In these concertless times, that includes daily livestreams and live concert videos we love. We publish a monthly playlist of some of our favorite tracks. Here's a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.
TY DOLLA $IGN - "EGO DEATH" (ft. KANYE WEST, FKA TWIGS, SKRILLEX & SERPENTWITHFEET)
Ty Dolla $ign has a new album on the way, and he assembled a truly jaw-dropping cast for its new single "Ego Death" - art pop eccentrics FKA twigs and serpentwithfeet, beatmaking giant Skrillex, and Kanye West (who also put a new song out this week). It's an ethereal, thumping track that brings these artists' various styles together nicely.

KOFFEE - "PRESSURE"
Modern-day reggae great Koffee debuted a new song in a session for Highsnobiety’s Not in Paris series and luxury clothing brand Thom Browne, which was done as a virtual replacement for Paris Men’s Fashion Week. It's yet another fine example of Koffee's ability to put a fresh spin on traditional reggae sounds.

MR. MUTHAFUCKIN' EXQUIRE - "BLACK MIRROR" (PROD. MADLIB)
Brooklyn rapper Mr. Muthafuckin' eXquire (who recently released the new protest/benefit single "Bootlicker") and Madlib (who recently helmed Noname's "Song 33") team up on this psychedelic new song, and they sound great together. eXquire wrote, "This record is about Black masculinity and community. Long Live my Uncle Shango who transitioned June 17. I’m deeply saddened and I will never forget you."

BUDDY - "FACES" (ft. LUCKY DAYE)
Buddy follows "Black 2" (one of the best rap songs of June) and a new song on the Insecure soundtrack with this syrupy new jam featuring Lucky Daye.

A BOOGIE WIT DA HOODIE & DON Q - "FLOOD MY WRIST" (ft. LIL UZI VERT)
A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and his frequent collaborator Don Q tap Lil Uzi Vert for this flashy new song and video.

NZCA LINES - "FOR YOUR LOVE"
Michael Lovett, who has collaborated with Metronomy and Florence + The Machine, releases his new album as NZCA Lines next week. Here's one last early taste: the sultry "For Your Love," complete with sweeping strings and groovy bass.

SUSANNA - "THE DANCING SNAKE"
Norwegian artist Susanna will release new album Baudelaire & Piano on September 11 via SusannaSonata. The title is pretty self-explanatory, as she's set the words of Charles Baudelaire to piano music. "I wanted to approach this material in an almost dogmatic way,’ Susanna says, ‘to present the songs in a naked, stripped-down form, alone at the piano. These poems have so many layers and contain such rich expanding emotions to me."

JOE WONG - “MINOR” / “NUCLEAR RAINBOW"
Composer and host of The Trap Set podcast Joe Wong will release his debut album, Nite Creatures, on September 21. The album was produced by Mary Timony and here are two new songs from it to listen to. "Minor" is more of an orchestra composition, where "Nuclear Rainbow" falls more into orch-pop. Both are very good.

INTERNATIONAL TEACHERS OF POP - "FEMENENERGY" & VINCE CLARKE REMIX
Sheffield's International Teachers of Pop, which includes members of All Seeing I, The Moonlandingz and The Soundcarriers, will release their second album, Pop Gossip, in August and here's a second sparkling single from it. "Femenenergy" sounds like a Stock Aiken & Waterman production from 1988 dragged into the gutter. Vince Clarke of Erasure offers up an excellent remix too.

ROLLING BLACKOUTS COASTAL FEVER – "MALIBU" (HOLE COVER)
Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever just released new album Sideways to New Italy and stopped by SiriusXM earlier this year to promote it. This cover of Hole's "Malibu" (off 1998's Celebrity Skin) is from that session, and the make the song their own.

RON GALLO - "HIDE (MYSELF BEHIND YOU)"
"I figured I am gonna be inside for a while so I bought a green screen and the 'HIDE' video is me learning how to use it," says Ron of this new single and video. "I shot and edited it myself. My favorite thing about it so far is that I can fake put myself anywhere in a time when I can’t go anywhere and then when I rewatch it it’s kind of like being somewhere else."

ARLO MCKINLEY - "DIE MIDWESTERN"
Before his passing, the legendary John Prine signed Ohio-born country singer Arlo McKinley to his Oh Boy Records, and Arlo is releasing his debut album Die Midwestern on August 14 via that label. The album was produced by Matt Ross-Spang (Prine, Jason Isbell, Margo Price, etc) and Arlo's backing band on the album is Ken Coomer (Uncle Tupelo, Wilco), Rick Steff (Cat Power, Hank Williams Jr.), and Reba Russell (Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison). The FADER premiered the title track today, and it's a bright, upbeat, lovely alt-country song.

EMMA RUTH RUNDLE - "STAYING POWER"
Emma Ruth Rundle has released a new song that was recorded during the sessions for her great 2018 album On Dark Horses (Sargent House) but didn't make the cut, and it's as dark and stunning as anything on that album. Read more about it here.

CULTURE ABUSE - "HEAVY LOVE" (ALTERNATE VERSION)
Bay Area punks Culture Abuse are releasing Good Shit, Bad Shit, Who Gives a Shit?!, a compilation of demos, covers, live recordings, and more, on July 24 via Epitaph. The first song released from it is a stripped-down, acoustic-guitar-fueled version of "Heavy Love" from 2016's Peach.

JASON MOLINA - "THE MISSION'S END"
Eight Gates, an album that the late, great Jason Molina (of Songs: Ohia and Magnolia Electric Co) recorded before his tragic 2013 passing is getting released in August, and "The Mission's End" is the second single from it. It's brief and bare-bones and as devastating as you'd hope.

SD x BRIAN FRESCO - "ARETHA" (prod. PI'ERRE BOURNE)
Chicago rappers SD (ex-Glory Boyz Entertainment co-founder) and Brian Fresco (SAVEMONEY) are releasing a collaborative album, Muddbruddaas, on July 31, and its new single is the bouncy, melodic "Aretha."

DUCKWRTH - "FIND A WAY"
LA rapper Duckwrth tapped Alex Mali, Radio Ahlee, and Bayli for this new protest song that comes with a video that splices together a powerful compilation of photos and videos from both recent events and history.

SPENCER - "MAYBE"
The 4AD-signed Spencer is back with new single "Maybe," a psychedelic blend of indie pop and soul.

THE OCEAN - "JURASSIC | CRETACEOUS" (ft. KATATONIA's JONAS RENSKE
In 2018, German progressive metal greats The Ocean released Phanerozoic I: Palaezoic, which was part one of a two-part project that they said would be completed in 2020. Now they've revealed that part two, Phanerozoic II: Mesozoic | Cenozoic, comes out September 25 via Metal Blade/Pelagic, and the first single is the truly epic, 13-and-a-half minute "Jurassic | Cretaceous" which features Katatonia's Jonas Renske.

NECROT - "INTO THE LABYRINTH" (2020 VERSION)
While we wait Necrot's highly anticipated sophomore album Mortal, we also get treated to a new recording of "Into the Labyrinth" which originally appeared on the band's 2012 EP/demo of the same name. The re-recording is for a Decibel flexi, and as you may expect, it rips.

SOFT PALMS (COATHANGERS/GROWLERS) - "BADDY"
Soft Palms, the duo of Julia Kugel (The Coathangers) and Scott Montoya (formerly of Growlers), will release their self-titled debut album on July 31 on Everloving Records. Here's another hazy taste of the pop that you'll find within.

THE LEES OF MEMORY - "LONELY EVERYWHERE"
The Lees of Memory -- the current band of Superdrag frontman John Davis and guitarist Brandon Fisher (with Nick Slack from post-Superdrag band Epic Ditch) -- are putting a new album out on Friday and here's the lead single, which you can read more about here.

FEAR OF MEN - "INTO STRANGENESS"
UK group Fear of Men are back with their first new music since 2016's Fall Forever. "Into Strangeness" brings an unpredictable discordant element to their dark, rhythmic sound, with swooping strings and skronky horns.

BRIAN ENO & ROGER ENO - "MANGANESE'
Brothers Roger Eno and Brian Eno released Mixing Colours, their first ever full-length collaborative duo album, back in March. There were colors they left off the album, though, and those will make up a new seven-track EP
