Alicia Keys unveiled her thankful new single "Good Job" on Thursday (April 23).
On the piano-driven ballad, the singer-songwriter shares her gratitude for all the unseen heroes serving as "the engine that makes all things go," urging mothers, fathers, teachers and friends to keep their heads up amid challenging times. "Good job/ You're doin' a good job, a good job/ You're doin' a good job/ Don't get too down/ The world needs you now/ Know that you matter, matter, matter, yeah," Keys croons on the track's chorus.
"Good Job" serves as the latest single off the star's pending seventh album, Alicia, which was originally set for release on May 15 by RCA Records but has since been postponed to sometime later in 2020 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The music video for the new song is also set to premiere Thursday evening during a special live CNN Global Town Hall hosted by Anderson Cooper and Dr. Sanjay Gupta.
The star's latest Alicia track also arrives in the wake of her new (Oprah-approved) memoir, More Myself: A Journey, which debuted at No. 3 on the New York Times best seller list upon its release earlier this month.
