As mentioned, Shanghai hardcore band Spill Your Guts are releasing new LP The Wrath It Takes on March 25 via PermCityPunk Records/Trepanation Recordings. They recently put out lead single "Lift the Curse" and we're now premiering second single "Prey On Death," which finds time for everything from classic riffy metal to driving punk to grindy hardcore to a shreddy guitar solo and more. It scratches so many itches, and it rips. The band says:
We are super pumped to be dropping the second single from our upcoming album The Wrath It Takes. This track, "Prey On Death," was one of the first we wrote way back in 2018 and has since been chopped up, rebuilt, and slowly became one of our favorites to play live over the past few years! It's the only song on the album that really speaks to the battalion mentality and preparing for what it takes to face problems head on, in the literal sense. We decided to pay homage to the video games and anime we love, which all have a similar theme, by using clips from Berserk and Castelvania - with hopes that coupled with this track it really brings forward the emotion and brutality we're trying to put forward!
