L7 announce ‘Bricks Are Heavy’ 30th anniversary reissue & tour

L7 are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their third album, 1992's Bricks Are Heavy, by reissuing it for the occasion. It's due out September 30 via Licorice Pizza Records, and Howie Weinberg digitally remastered the whole album for the occasion, and it's available for pre-order on special packaged gold and black vinyl. "After all these years, we began thinking it is strange that we have never received a proper accounting of actual sales to date for this record," Donita Sparks says. "We were so close to Certified Gold 30 years ago, surely we have crossed the line by now. So we thought to hell with it, we are declaring ourselves Gold and making our own gold records. Get ‘em while they are hot."

The band have also announced a fall North American tour where they'll perform Bricks Are Heavy in full live for the first time, running through October with stops in Nashville, Atlanta, NYC, Boston, Philadelphia, Toronto, Detroit, Chicago, Denver, Seattle, Los Angeles, and more. See all dates below.

There are two NYC shows, on October 6 at Irving Plaza and October 7 at Warsaw. Tickets to all dates go on sale Friday, April 15 at 10 AM local.
