Ty Segall's proto-metal-inspired trio Fuzz brought their tour to NYC last week, playing Music Hall of Williamsburg on Thursday and Bowery Ballroom on Friday, making for Ty's first shows here since before the pandemic. We caught the Bowery show which was a typically wild affair, with Ty, Charles Moothart and Chad Ubovich whipping the crowd into a frenzy from the get-go. They were power-trio-tight and sounded fantastic, if deafeningly loud.
Opening the show was Ice Balloons, the heavy and twisted group that includes Kyp Malone of TV on the Radio, and they were fun as well. Pictures from the whole night by P Squared, including one of Fuzz's setlist, are in this post.
