Loe Shimmy has been at the top of his game for most of 2022, thanks to his distinct voice and infectious charisma. With singles such as “Wake Em up,” “Not the same,” “On the Run,” and “Playboi Carti,” the rap artist has become one of the names to watch out for in the Hip Hop scene.
“I feel like a lot of new artists spring up here and there, and perhaps unintentionally, but a lot of them do sound similar,” explains Loe, when talking about the up-and-coming generation of rappers.
The young talent reveals that “Taking the time to polish and sharpen your own sound is key in any genre because no one wants to be generic and no fan wants to hear the same type of music again and again. I’ve worked very hard on defining my own sound, and I will continue to do so in the future.”
Shimmy has had the opportunity to work with some of the most talented people in the industry, among which are Kodak Black, FCG Heem, Lil Guap, Wizz Havin & Luh Tyler. He admits, “Each of them impacted me one way or another, and through their support and the joint work, I’ve definitely grown both as an artist and as a person.”
Following “Wake Em up,” “Not the same,” “On the Run,” and “Playboi Carti,” Loe Shimmy is set to drop one more single just before the end of the year. “Fallin,” which is set to be released on December 30, 2022 will come with an accompanying video shot by former collaborator IWANTJUAN.
