Dryden Quigley Announces Departure from WSMV4 for New Role

A New Chapter in the Bay Area

After two and a half years of dedicated reporting in Nashville, Dryden Quigley has officially announced her departure from WSMV4. The journalist, who became a familiar face to viewers covering crime and weather, shared the news of her exit with a heartfelt message to the community that welcomed her.

“Nashville! This is my last week with WSMV4,” Quigley wrote on Instagram. “It’s been an incredible experience that’s hard to put in just a few words. The photographers, producers, reporters, directors, and managers have taught me more about journalism in the past 2.5 years than I ever thought was possible. Moving somewhere I’d never been before was scary, but they made it easy and more importantly, fun.”

Career Progression and Future Endeavors

Quigley’s journey in journalism has been marked by steady growth. A graduate of Duke University, she began her career as a news production assistant at WRAL-TV in Raleigh, North Carolina. She later transitioned to an on-air role at WVIR, an NBC affiliate in Charlottesville, Virginia, where she served as a reporter and eventually a weekend anchor. Her move to Nashville in 2023 further solidified her reputation as a versatile reporter.

The transition to the West Coast is already underway. Quigley confirmed that she has joined the team at ABC 7 News in the Bay Area. “I really can’t put into words how thankful I am to everyone who helped get me here,” she shared in a follow-up post. “Proof that Disney really is where dreams come true. See you on TV.”

While an official start date for her debut on ABC 7 has not been announced, viewers can expect to see her on screen in the San Francisco market soon. For those who followed her work in Nashville, Quigley remains active on social media, where she frequently shares updates and highlights from her reporting assignments.
