MasterChef: Global Gauntlet Contestant Iman Evaluates the Judges

MasterChef: Global Gauntlet is back with an all-new episode this week, and we have an exclusive look at the high-stakes competition. In the upcoming episode, titled “Auditions Day 2 (Asia-Pacific),” eight talented home cooks are set to compete for a chance to represent their heritage and secure a coveted white apron.

In this exclusive sneak peek, the pressure is on as contestant Iman presents her lamb dish to the esteemed panel of judges: Gordon Ramsay, Tiffany Derry, and Joe Bastianich. Beyond her culinary skills, Iman reveals that her passion for cooking is deeply rooted in her heritage, and she is determined to make history as the first MasterChef winner from Afghanistan.

Demonstrating her unique perspective, Iman shares that she studied sociology in college. Taking a playful yet insightful turn, Joe Bastianich challenges her to provide a sociological evaluation of the three judges. The resulting interaction proves to be just as compelling as the dish itself.

MasterChef Season 16, titled Global Gauntlet, premiered on April 15. The season is designed to celebrate global heritage, with home cooks representing four distinct regions. Following the initial focus on Europe, the competition now shifts to the Asia-Pacific region, with more regions to follow as the auditions progress.

Fox recently announced a two-season renewal for the hit series, ensuring that fans will continue to see Gordon Ramsay, Tiffany Derry, and Joe Bastianich return to the kitchen for seasons 16 and 17.
