This high-energy production marks a significant milestone, blending the raw, gritty essence of hip-hop royalty with contemporary club sensibilities.
The track serves as a sophisticated rework of verses from U-God and Inspectah Deck, originally featured on the iconic Wu-Tang Clan anthem ‘Da Mystery of Chessboxin’’, which was famously produced by The RZA. The creative journey behind this release is as compelling as the music itself; the initial concept was sparked in 2018 when KETTAMA shared the foundational idea with Michael Bibi. Over the years, the track evolved, with Bibi refining and developing a new, polished version in 2024.
Following a rigorous sample-clearance process and receiving the full support of the Wu-Tang Clan, the track—which had been a long-circulating secret weapon in club sets—finally received its official release on August 14th.
