Techno powerhouse Amelie Lens has officially unveiled her highly anticipated debut album, 'AURA', released through her own label, EXHALE. This 11-track collection marks a significant milestone in the Belgian producer's career, showcasing her evolution from a local talent to a global electronic music icon.
The album features a diverse range of compositions, including the standout track 'run', which serves as the record's sole collaboration, featuring fellow Belgian artist Angèle. The remaining ten tracks are entirely the work of Lens, highlighting her signature sound with titles such as 'our frequency', '4am at RSO', 'falling into acid dreams', 'the energy is us', and 'whatever you do'.
Reflecting on the creative process, Lens describes the album as a deeply personal journey. She notes that 'AURA' is a reflection of her relationship with club culture, her dedicated audience, and the transformative path from playing in intimate local venues to commanding massive festival stages. The project also captures her personal growth, including her experience of becoming a mother and the ongoing development of her EXHALE imprint.
“I wanted ‘AURA’ to feel emotional but still powerful, uplifting but raw,” she says.
