Musician and actor Jesse McCartney and his wife, Katie McCartney, are preparing to expand their family. The couple, who are already parents to a son named Archer, shared the joyful news that they are expecting their second child this March.
Jesse took to his Instagram account on Thursday to announce the pregnancy, posting a series of photos that included their young son. In a heartwarming caption, the 39-year-old entertainer wrote, “Archer is getting promoted to big brother.”
McCartney has remained a prominent figure in entertainment for decades. After rising to fame in the late 1990s as a member of the boy band Dream Street, he transitioned into a highly successful solo career. His debut studio album, Beautiful Soul, achieved platinum status and produced the hit single of the same name, which climbed to number 16 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2008, he reached new heights with the release of “Leavin’,” which peaked at number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Beyond his own discography, McCartney has proven his songwriting prowess by co-writing Leona Lewis’ Grammy-nominated smash hit, “Bleeding Love,” which topped charts globally.
Acting and Personal Life
In addition to his musical achievements, McCartney has built an extensive acting resume with over 25 film credits, including roles in Alvin and the Chipmunks and Love, Weddings & Other Disasters. His television career is equally impressive, spanning more than 30 shows since his debut on All My Children in 1998. Recent appearances include a role in the final season of HBO’s Hacks.
His wife, Katie (Peterson) McCartney, is also an accomplished actor, known for her work in projects such as Step Up: Revolution and Graceland. The couple married in 2021 following a two-year courtship, and they continue to balance their professional lives with their growing family.
