Permanent Vacation will celebrate its 20th anniversary, hosted by AIONIA, with a special label night in New York City on Friday, March 27th, 2026. The event will take place at Brooklyn’s House of Yes, running from 10 PM through 4 AM.
Marking two decades since its founding in Munich in 2006, the event will also represent the label’s first-ever showcase in New York City. Permanent Vacation has become a reference point for modern disco and adjacent club sounds, including Balearic, cosmic, proto-house, and other left-of-center dancefloor styles. Over the years, the label has released music from artists such as Todd Terje, Prins Thomas, John Talabot, Red Axes, and Mano Le Tough, helping shape a catalog that bridges classic disco influence with contemporary club music.
The anniversary night will feature a lineup drawn from artists connected to that sound. Chicago-born, Berlin-based DJ Alinka brings her house-driven style to the bill, while label mainstay Lauer represents the melodic core of the Permanent Vacation aesthetic. Rebolledo, known as one half of Pachanga Boys, adds his trippy disco sensibility, and Sam Goku contributes a deep, groove-focused approach shaped by hypnotic club rhythms. Rounding out the lineup is Tim Sweeney, the founder of the long-running Beats in Space radio show, known for his carefully curated selections and broad musical perspective.
