Like many of us, Alessia Cara has been channeling her inner chef while in quarantine.
The songstress joined Live With Kelly and Ryan virtually on Monday (April 13) to discuss her acting debut in the upcoming animated film, The Willoughbys. "You kind of have to get everything across with just your voice, so all the expressions come from there," she explained. "I guess I was used to using my voice because of what I do for a living, I mean, I sing, but it’s a very different world."
Ryan Seacrest then asked Cara if she's tried any recipes while at home, and instantly lit up when the star mentioned that she recently made some hot wings. The screen displayed a drool-worthy photo of her creation, and Seacrest praised Cara's decision to drench the wings in sauce.
"I find that some people struggle to make great wings, like when you order them and then go pick them up, they're really, really good from places," the host observed. "But how did you make them? Did you grill them, bread them?"
"I think the trick was to put them in the over seasoned first until they turn a little white--not fully cooked, just a little cooked," Cara revealed, before adding that after, she dipped the chicken in flour and egg, and deep fried them.
