Coheed and Cambria recently pulled Dance Gavin Dance as support from their upcoming summer tour after DGD vocalist Tilian Pearson stepped away from the band, following allegations of sexual assault against him that surfaced on social media. They've now announced that Alkaline Trio will be joining them on their upcoming dates instead. Mothica also opens the shows, which begin in July and include an NYC stop at Forest Hills Stadium on July 30. See all dates below.
Coheed's new album Vaxis II: A Window of The Waking Mind is out on June 24 (pre-order it on vinyl), and they'll be celebrating with a very intimate in-store performance and signing that day at Rough Trade NYC. Tickets are sold out, but they've now announced that the set, which they say will be "3-songs acoustic, perhaps some Q&A and maybe some Vaxis reading... Lots of other fun stuff leading up to it," will stream live on Claudio's Twitch channel at noon ET, with a pre-show stream starting at 10:30 ET. They're also teasing a host, to be announced, for the stream; stay tuned.
