Arctic Monkeys & Fontaines D.C. played Forest Hills Stadium (Night 1 pics, setlists, video)

Arctic Monkeys are currently in NYC and played their first of two consecutive sold-out nights at Forest Hills Stadium on Friday. It was a lovely evening — a rainstorm earlier in the afternoon cooled things off nicely — and the crowd was very into, singing along as Alex Turner held court with the band, playing a set heavy on AM and Favourite Worst Nightmare. Only three songs from last year’s The Car made the setlist, and there was nothing from Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino.

Along on this tour are Dublin’s Fontaines D.C. who played a short but energetic set. Check out photos by Toby Tenenbaum from Friday’s show, along with setlists and video, below.

Arctic Monkeys & Fontaines D.C. do it again tonight. Stay tuned for pics and a review.
