Ariana Grande made her Broadway debut when she was just 15 by playing the shy cheerleader Charlotte in Jason Robert Brown's 2008 musical 13. Since then, her pitch-perfect vocals haven't veered far from the spotlight.
She reunited with Brown in 2016 for a low-key Hollywood gig, with the oversized sweater-wearing performer warming up her vocals for an ironically joyful rendition of "The Lamest Place in the World" and riffing with Broadway veteran Shoshana Bean for "Brand New You."
But Broadway didn't just keep Brown and Grande connected nearly a decade after the curtains closed. She originally met her Victorious co-star Elizabeth Gillies while performing in 13, and the two reunited with their fellow castmember Graham Phillips last year to bring back "If That's What It Is" after "eleven years later or whatever," according to Grande's Twitter video at the time.
