Chicago-based artist and DJ Ariel Zetina has announced a new EP for London-based label femme culture, out February 21.
Entitled ‘MUAs At The End Of The World’, Zetina is inspired by the ephemerality creative arts, particularly in a society grappling with climate disaster and a turbulent political landscape.

Zetina says the release, “it’s stemmed from the rhythms putting on makeup. And the perception makeup as armor, barrier stealth; makeup as a method for passing for trans women (and the politics what it means to pass for a cis woman in general).”

The EP is a blistering hodge podge influences, from dark techno cuts to heavier bass elements. These are tracks forged in the sweaty, blurred dark rooms queer club spaces, and convey an awareness about the future those spaces as well as their history.
