Big Thief played 2 nights at Kings Theatre (pics, video, setlist)

Big Thief just began the North American leg of their 2022 tour supporting their excellent new double album, Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You, and they played two nights at Brooklyn's Kings Theatre on Friday and Saturday (4/15 & 4/16). We were there on Saturday night, and the majestic restored theatre was a perfect setting for the band's expansive music. The set really showed their range, starting mellow and quiet and bringing tears to the eyes of people in the crowd, then gaining momentum and sending the crowd wild as Adrianne Lenker danced across the stage.

Both night's setlists stuck largely to the new material, which really shone live, but also included some older favorites, like "Shark Smile" on night one, "Masterpiece" on night two, and "Not" on both nights. They also covered Lucinda William's "Like A Rose" on night one.

See setlists and fan-taken video from both nights below, along with pictures from night two (including of opener Kara-Lis Coverdale) by P Squared.
