His personal wealth is estimated to be £180 million, up £15 million from last year. This places him higher than the likes of Adele (£150m), Eric Clapton (£175m), Sir Tom Jones (£170m) and Phil Collins (£140m), but below artists such as Robbie Williams (£185m), Ed Sheeran (£200m), Sir Elton John (£360m) and Rihanna (£468m), who takes third spot and appears on the list for the first time following her move to London. Lord Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s fortune is calculated to have decreased by £20 million to £800 million due to the coronavirus shutting down the West End, but he remains at the top of the musicians list, this year sharing the number one spot with Sir Paul McCartney, whose own wealth has risen £50 million. Speaking about the list, compiler Robert Watt said: “Touring remains the big earner for many of the stadium-filling acts on our musicians’ list.
