Camila Cabello is living the Disney princess dream in the English countryside while preparing for her lead role in Cinderella during her Vogue 73 Questions interview, posted this week. As Cinderella originally sang in the 1950 animated flick, "A dream is a wish your heart makes" -- and Cabello's childhood dreams have certainly come true.
"Anybody that knows me knows that my absolute dream is to have to make an inspiration playlist full of Disney songs to get ready for work -- I mean, how amazing is that?" the 22-year-old singer gushed. "I want to live in that world all of the time."
She recalled her excitement when her family finally got cable and she could watch all the Disney Channel shows and original movies to her heart's delight, from The Cheetah Girls to High School Musical to Hannah Montana. "[They're] really the reason that I'm here," she said about her earliest inspirations. "I was like in my own Disney Channel movie in my bathroom all the time."
And the glass slipper fits even better when the "Señorita" singer confessed the first song she memorized all of the lyrics to was "Cinderella" by The Cheetah Girls.
But when it comes to her other musical influences, Beyoncé's profound impact carries into Cabello's pre-performance rituals. "I spent the last whole year before every performance, I would listen to Homecoming and just watching that documentary; it just felt so meaningful and important and connected to humanity and what's real in the world," Cabello said. "I was just really inspired by her strength, and I think that she's incredible."
