Cho Jung-seok, IU and more star in trailer for Netflix’s ‘A-List to Playlist’

Netflix has dropped the official trailer for A-List to Playlist, an upcoming variety series centred around actor Cho Jung-seok as he tries his hand at a singing career.

What is the premise of A-List to Playlist?

A-List to Playlist is an upcoming reality series produced by Netflix. It will follow South Korean actor Cho Jung-seok, who is best known for his recurring role as Lee Ik-joon on both seasons of Hospital Playlist, as he tries to make a fresh start as a singer.

He won’t be alone, though – his close friends and fellow actors Jung Sang-hoon (Twinkling Watermelon) and Moon Sang-hoon (Chicken Nugget) are stepping as Cho’s “agency CEO” and his publicity manager, respectively

Cho will also be tapping into the extensive network of connections he has built as an actor in the last 20 years. A special team of mentors – which includes IU – will also be with him during his 100-day journey to becoming a musician.

Cho Jung-seok, Jung Sang-hoon and Moon Sang-hoon will be starring on the show as its main cast, while the show will include numerous cameo appearances by top musicians and actors. Some examples include IU, Park Hyo-shin, Dynamic Duo and more.

On August 16, Netflix dropped the official trailer for the upcoming series. It features footage from meetings between the main trio and other mentors on Cho’s music journey, as well as interviews with guest stars about Cho’s music ability and creative vision.
