Dutch duo Feng Suave are searching through nature for their stars to align on the sweet and serene single “Maybe Another Time,” premiering exclusively on Billboard today (March 19).
The Amsterdam-based band -- composed of Daniël Schoemaker and Daniël de Jong -- deliver a fresh, alternative-soul tune with honied harmonies that finds them going with the flow of natural forces in a wistful and pure alternative-soul tune.
"‘Maybe Another Time’ is, I think, our most 'revival' track to date,” the band tells Billboard. “It's also our first track with a 6/8 time signature, to give it a kind of Bobby Vinton feel. There are some Murakami and Mishima quotes and paraphrases in there -- and it also doesn't have a chorus."
The evocative imagery that fills the verses is matched by the dazzling backdrop of Normandy in the visual directed by Bob Sizoo. As the sole subjects of the video, the pair take in breathtaking views while modeling the uncontrollable sway that the song induces.
“Maybe Another Time” will be featured on Feng Suave’s sophomore EP Warping Youth, set for release on June 26.
