George Clinton plots fall tour with Parliament-Funkadelic, playing The Met’s Roof Garden

George Clinton recently wrapped up a summer tour with Parliament-Funkadelic, and they’ll be back out in the fall, starting with Riot Fest in September, with dates running through the end of the year. See all dates below.

Before Clinton begins this next run with P-Funk, he’ll play a special show at The Metropolitan Museum of Art on September 8, in the Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Roof Garden. It’s free to attend, and tickets will be assigned by random draw; you can enter the drawing now. It closes on Friday, September 1 at noon, or when 1000 entries have been received.

Lauren Halsey‘s Roof Garden commission, the eastside of south central los angeles hieroglyph prototype architecture (I) is on display until October 22, and she has drawn inspiration from Clinton’s music throughout her career. Watch an interview with her below.

Clinton’s fall tour also includes a Long Island show at NYCB Theatre at Westbury on October 28. Tickets are on sale now.
