(G)I-DLE singer Minnie has dropped a pre-release track ‘Blind Eyes Red’, lifted from her forthcoming solo debut mini-album out later this month.
On January 6, CUBE Entertainment dropped the music video for a solo track by Minnie titled ‘Blind Eyes Red’. Co-written by Minnie herself, the song is performed completely in English.

After the song was released, an announcement detailing Minnie’s solo debut was posted to the band’s social media on January 7, alongside an image teaser and an eight-second-long video clip.
The album’s image teaser features an illustration of a girl through the lens of binoculars, with two pink hearts floating around her. Meanwhile, the clip features a red-tinted collage of eyes, layered over Minnie’s own face, seemingly tying back to ‘Blind Eyes Red’.
Minnie’s solo debut mini-album is titled ‘Her’ and is due out on January 21 at 6pm KST. Details, including its tracklist, are expected to be released in the coming days.

The upcoming release of ‘Her’ makes Minnie the fourth member of (G)I-DLE to go solo, following bandmates Yuqi, Soyeon and Miyeon. Leader Soyeon made her solo debut prior to joining the band in 2017, while Yuqi stated releasing solo music in 2021 and bandmate Miyeon released her first solo record in 2022.
Plans for Minnie’s solo debut were announced and confirmed by her label CUBE Entertainment in December last year. It came just days after it was confirmed by the company that all five members had renewed their contracts, after Soyeon first broke the news through an acceptance speech at the 2024 Melon Music Awards.
