Grateful Dead now have their own line of vegan deodorant

In news that is sure to launch thousand jokes, the Grateful Dead now have their own line of deodorant. Made by North Coast Organics, Grateful Dead Organic Deodorants comes in five scents, none of which are patchouli: "Skull & Roses" (Lavender + Rose), "Unscented," "Sunshine" (Blood Orange + Bergamot), "Timber" (Douglas Fir + Sage), and "Workingman's" (Cedarwood + Juniper).

In addition to being 100% Organic, these deodorants are also vegan and made with "edible ingredients." (They are not saying you should eat it, but, you know.) Grateful Dead's legacy manager David Lemieux told CNN the line of deodorant fits in with the Dead's "love of the world around us," adding, "North Coast Organics lives and functions as we do, with an awareness that the future's here, we are it, and we need to take care of the planet and ourselves."

In other news, the Grateful Dead have been hosting "Shakedown Stream" every Friday on their YouTube channel, with live performances plus pre-show interviews with key members of the Grateful Dead community. They haven't announced details of the 6/26 stream yet but it begins at 8 PM ET.

Meanwhile, Grateful Dead also have their own line of Nike sneakers, and we also recently posted about 5 Grateful Dead concert videos to stream online, as picked by legendary NYC music scene figure Concert Joe, who has famously seen tens of thousands of concerts, including hundreds of Grateful Dead shows.
