Guns N’ Roses played MetLife Stadium (pics, video, setlist), releasing new song “Perhaps”

Guns N’ Roses are in the midst of their 2023 world tour, which stopped in East Rutherford, NJ on Tuesday night (8/15) for a show at MetLife Stadium with The Pretenders (who played a much more intimate NYC show at Bowery Ballroom last night) and surprise guest opener Andrew Dice Clay. Andrew told People it was a “full circle” moment after the comedian had opened for the band “back in the day,” 30 years ago at Pasadena, CA’s Rose Bowl. In 2021 the band released their first new songs in 13 years, “Absurd” and “Hard Skool,” both reworked tracks from the Chinese Democracy sessions. They’ve announced “Perhaps,” which a press release says was “written and recorded by Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan this year,” and is their “first collective new composition and recording together in thirty years since 1993’s The Spaghetti Incident?” The song leaked on bar jukeboxes that use TouchTunes over the weekend, but it hasn’t made its way to streaming services officially yet; at the moment it’s only playing on Audacy stations. Stay tuned.
