Justin Bieber has postponed his anticipated Changes Tour as of Wednesday (April 1).
The outing was slated to kick off on May 14 with a show at Centurylink Field in Seattle, Washington and run through a Sept. 26 show in East Rutherford, New Jersey; at press time there was no additional information on when the dates might be rescheduled.
"In light of the current public health crisis, and with the deepest concern for all those being affected, Justin Bieber will be postponing all currently scheduled 2020 dates for The Changes Tour," reads an official statement.
"While Justin – along with his band, dancers and crew - has been hard at work preparing an amazing show, he has always put the health and well-being of his fans first and foremost. Justin is anxiously awaiting the opportunity to get back out on the road and perform in a space that is safe for everyone. He asks that his fans hold on to their tickets, as they will be honored as soon as the dates are rescheduled. Information on rescheduled dates will be forthcoming soon."
The 45-date tour was scheduled to hit a mix of stadiums and arenas was in support of Changes, the singer's first album since 2015's Purpose.
A number of dates on the tour were shifted down to smaller venues because of slower-than-expected sales in early March, just as the first wave on cancellations and postponements due to the COVID-19 virus were beginning to pile up.
