Justin Timberlake dropped "Don't Slack," his latest collaboration with Anderson .Paak from the upcoming Trolls World Tour movie, on Tuesday (March 10).
On the motivational track, the two stars trade verses over a funky beat punctuated with tambourine, bongos and handclaps. "OK now don't slack/ I need all my racks/ No, we don't hold back/ Act like you know that," they sing as the propulsive beat builds to the chorus.
Timberlake also opened up in a new interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music's New Music Daily about where he's at creatively and teased the possibility of more music coming down the pipeline later this year. "Honestly, I'm just in a zone where I just love, I've always loved collaborating...But I feel like for whatever reason -- whether it's being on tour, or again, because the vessel used to be the album -- there was so much time in between when I would get to go in with people. And now, I could not put anything out for the rest of the year, I could also put eight records out before 2020 is over, I don't know.”
The new song follows Timberlake's other recent Trolls collab with SZA, the even funkier "The Other Side," which serves as the soundtrack's lead single.
Trolls World Tour is set to hit theaters nationwide April 20 with the superstar reprising his role as Branch, the good-hearted sidekick to Anna Kendrick's Queen Poppy.
