Listen to Folk Implosion’s ‘Feel It If You Feel It’ EP, first new music in 2 decades - Pop It Records

Last summer, Lou Barlow and John Davis announced they were working on their first new Folk Implosion music together since 2000. (Barlow released The New Folk Implosion album in 2003 which didn't feature Davis.) Today, The Folk Implosion released the Feel It If You Feel It EP, and you can stream it below.

The EP features two new songs, "Don't Give it Away" and "Had Enough," as well as a remix of each. Fans of Folk Implosion's unlikely hit "Natural One" will find Barlow and Davis have found their groove again; both songs are danceable but in a laid back way, while the remixes are more beat forward. The whole thing is good.

There's more where this is from, too. Davis notes, "We worked together in person last week and now have 11 songs with basic instrumental parts and structure outlined for full length album we are going to spend the rest of ‘22 finishing. One of the songs was written in 1999 but the rest began to take shape last summer." Stay tuned.

In addition to working on the new Folk Implosion album, Barlow will also spend a good chunk of 2022 on tour with Dinosaur Jr.
