Mad Cool Festival 2025: Olivia Rodrigo, Kings Of Leon and Noah Kahan lead stacked first line-up

Mad Cool have announced the first run of artists set to perform at the 2025 instalment, with Olivia Rodrigo, Kings of Leon and Noah Kahan leading the line-up.

Next year’s edition of the long-running festival will run between July 10 and 12. It will see the event return to the Villaverde site in Madrid, which festival organisers announced this year had undergone a series of improvements including a reduction in the number of stages, as well as a general reduction in public capacity to reduce schedule conflicts and artist overlaps.

Mad Cool members will be able to access a presale on Friday (December 20) at 9am GMT until Monday (December 23) at 8:59am GMT. General ticket sales will kick off on December 23 as well. You can find your tickets here, and check out the full line-up poster below.

As well as headliner Rodrigo, both punk legend Iggy Pop and Alanis Morrisette will be making their return to the festival with the latter playing tracks from 1995’s ‘Jagged Little Pill’.

Other artists announced in the first wave of names include Weezer, who will be performing in Madrid for the first time in 20 years, Thirty Second to Mars, Gracie Abrams, St. Vincent, Justice, Bloc Party, Kaiser Chiefs, The Wombats, Jet and Glass Animals.

They will be joined by a host of alternative acts and rising stars like Foster the People, Future Islands, Bright Eyes, FIDLAR, Benson Boone, Girl In Red, Finneas, Luvcat, Blondshell, Tanner Addell, Artemas, PVRIS, Royel Otis, Arde Bogotá, Natalia Lacunza, Alcalá Norte, and Leon Bridges with more to be announced.

The festival has cultivated a lively electronic and dance scene since it’s 2016 inception, with an entire stage specifically designated for it in The Loop, which this year hosted acts like  The Blessed MadonnaDJ KozeBonobo and Jayda G.

Mad Cool’s 2024 edition of the festival also saw performances from Dua LipaPearl Jam, Bring Me The Horizon, The Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage, Janelle MonáeNothing But ThievesTom Odell and more. Check out NME’s roundup of this year’s festival here.
