Metronomy are taking “a break from touring for a number of years”

Metronomy have announced that they are taking “a break from touring for a number of years” but insist “We are NOT splitting up.” In a post on their social media, frontman Joseph Mount writes, “We have one show left in Mexico and one show left in Miami, then that will be it…until the time is right.”

Mount goes on to say, “Thank you all for making the last tour and these final shows so special, you probably didn’t realise they were final shows of a sort (despite me mumbling something to that effect), so that made it even more heartfelt…Thank you to our touring crew who are officially the best in the business ❤️”

As for what Metronomy will be doing when not playing live, Mount says “There will be things happening between now and our live return of course, but we’ll see you again in a few years…unless we see you in Mexico or Miami.”

Metronomy postponed their 2022 tour to this spring, citing expenses and other factors.
