Phoebe Bridgers made her Coachella debut on day one of the festival's 2022 edition, although it wasn't her first time attending; Billboard points out that she said hi to her mom from the stage, thanking her for driving her to the festival on multiple occasions, including one, in 2011, where she sported a Two Door Cinema Club shirt and pink hair.
Phoebe's weekend one Coachella set was also the second date of her North American tour, and she focused on material from her excellent 2020 sophomore album Punisher for it. She also played her fantastic new single "Sidelines," and in the Coachella tradition of featuring special guests, she brought out Arlo Parks' for the set's two final songs, "Graceland Too" and "I Know The End." The pair, who previously covered Radiohead's "Fake Plastic Trees" together, sounded amazing harmonizing, and the cathartic, chills-inducing "I Know The End" brought the set to a climactic finish.
