To ease our ongoing isolation, we asked a selection of our favourite artists, DJs and collectives to present a playlist of their favourite tracks to soundtrack your week from Monday through to Sunday.
Today, we’re proud to present a playlist curated by South Londoners and self-professed “all-inclusive party starters”, Prestige Pak. The collective, founded back in 2016, counts DJs Lil C, Architect and Handsome Rob, as well as hostess with the mostess Lagoon as its members, and together they can be found at front and centre of queer club nights across London and further afield, as well as (together and seperately) on the airwaves of Reprezent, now-closed Radar Radio, NTS, Foundation FM and Boiler Room.
For today’s playlist—aptly titled Spring Pengness—each member contributed 10 of the tracks getting them through isolation. “This is a bunch of songs we are feeling right now, spanning Dancehall, Afropop, UK Rap, UK Funky, R&B, Jungle and Pop music. The majority is new music; some from our friends—as well as a smattering of older classics too.” Enjoy.
