The artist officially announced her debut album last month, shortly after her performance at Coachella 2024, where she brought out Justin Bieber and Wizkid to perform ‘Essence’.
Posting at the time, she only confirmed that it would be released in May, although that has now been moved back slightly.

Since then, she released her first single of the year in the form of ‘Love Me Jeje’, an interpolation of a 1997 Nigerian classic of the same name by Seyi Sodimu. Listen to that track, which will be included on the album, below:

Sodimu himself praised the song, writing that it had “made my day”. “The beautiful thing about music is that it transcends generations and connects us through time,” he added. “Shoutout to Tems and her team, and congrats on a wonderful Coachella performance.”
