The Aluminum Group, the duo of brothers Frank and John Navin, have announced their first album in 14 years. It's self-titled and will be out April 29. The album reteams Frank and John with producer Dave Trumfio of The Pulsars who produced their fantastic 1998 album, Plano.
The Navins' knack with lush, jazzy, loungey dance pop -- peppered with a dark, razor-sharp wit -- is still in fine form on the two songs released from the album so far. "Drag Yourself" is warm and mellow with Frank and John's signature smooth, deep harmonies, while "Color My Lips Hot Pink" is sophisticated, string-laden disco. Listen to both below.
