Upcoming K-pop concerts, tours and music festivals in Asia: SEVENTEEN, 2NE1, Taemin and more

Borders are open, live music is back and the K-pop touring cycle is in full swing. Stars including veteran idols 2NE1, SEVENTEEN, Day6 and more are touring the world with both new and old tunes in tow – and hitting Asia very soon.

While some of those artists are staging their own headline shows, others are on the line-ups of music festivals with both multi-genre and Hallyu-only line-ups. The announcements have been coming thick and fast of late so NME‘s decided to help with a handy list of K-pop concerts and music festivals in Asia for 2024.

SEVENTEEN have announced the first handful of stops for their highly anticipated ‘Right Here’ world tour for 2024. Aside from its North American leg, the 13-piece have so far announced five stops for the Asian leg in Korea and Japan. The ‘Maestro’ singers will be doing a stadium tour – starting with Goyang Stadium in Korea before travelling to four cities in Japan from November to December. Other stops in the Asian leg have yet to be announced.

On July 21, YG Entertainment made the surprise announcement of their reunion eight years after disbanding in 2016. Shortly after, the label officially announced that the iconic quartet are set to embark on a reunion world tour, with only the first two kick-off dates in Seoul announced so far. More information about stops in other cities across the Asian region are expected to arrive in the coming months.

Fresh off the back of their concluded US leg of the ‘Act: Promise’ world tour, the Big Hit Music boyband announced an additional set of shows and stops in Asia. Stray Kids have finally announced their massive ‘dominATE’ world tour just before they are set to make their long-awaited comeback with a new mini-album, ‘ATE’. The eight-piece dropped dates and stops for the tour’s first leg, set to kick off this August and continue for the rest of the year into 2025 with shows in Singapore, Japan, Indonesia and more. Information about ticketing has yet to be announced by the respective organisers.

Fresh off the back of their comeback announcement for ‘Band Aid’, Day6 have also announced that they will be embarking on a world tour from September onwards. Beginning with three shows in Incheon’s Inspire Arena, the band will go on to perform shows in various other Asian cities through to February 2025. 2024 ‘HEREH’ world tour encore concert – Seoul

Ahead of her next album, IU has finally announced her massive, first-ever world tour. The singer will kick off the tour with two weekends of shows in Seoul, before heading to Yokohama, Taipei, Singapore, Jakarta and Hong Kong in the following months, playing two shows at each stop.

Between shows in Europe and the US, she will also head to Manila, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Osaka. She will then be returning to Seoul for two nights of encore concerts in order to wrap the tour up.

2024 ‘Dark Strange’ world tour – Tokyo and Taipei

The Brave Entertainment boyband recently announced the first three and only Asian stops for their upcoming ‘Dark Strange’ world tour, which is slated to kick start in August with their first show in Seoul, followed up by shows in Tokyo and Taiwan. The boyband will also be heading to the Americas and Europe following these Asian stops, however a detailed list has yet to be announced.

Ahead of their upcoming return with mini-album ‘Cosmic’, Red Velvet have also announced a new fan concert tour kicking off this August. The tour will begin with a two-night show in Seoul, followed by shows in Bangkok, Jakarta, Manila and Macau.

CNBLUE have announced an upcoming five-stop Asian tour dubbed the ‘Voyage into X’ tour, with stops in cities such as Macau, Taipei and more. Dates and venues have yet to be announced, however the band have confirmed that the tour will take place sometime this year. It remains unclear if the band has plans to expand the tour to other parts of Asia.

eaJ, also formerly known as Jae, a former member of South Korean boyband Day6, has announced a seven-city tour of Asia to kick off this September. Dubbed the ‘when the rain stopped following me’ tour, eaJ will begin his tour in Manila, before moving on to cities such as Jakarta, Singapore and Tokyo before wrapping up with a two-night residency at Seoul’s Yes24 Live Hall.
