Charlie Puth is the latest superstar to take part in Together, At Home: WHO-Global Citizen Solidarity Sessions.
Following in Chris Martin and John Legend's footsteps, Puth hopped on Instagram Live on Thursday (March 18) to ease our minds with a mini-concert amid the coronavirus crisis. Sitting at his home piano in a green sweater, in front of a serene window view, the crooner serenaded the Instagram audience (which included a number of famous viewers including John Mayer, Lennon Stella, Benny Blanco and Niall Horan).
He played his hits including "Attention," "One Call Away" and "See You Again." He also admitted that part of the inspiration behind the latter was a line in James Taylor's "You've Got a Friend," which he also performed for the virtual audience.
"James Taylor is the reason I know how to sing," he explained. "I was always obsessed with how he connected Brazilian influences into pop music."
"If you think about it, it's the first time the world is in unity," he concluded on a hopeful note. Watch the full live stream below.
