Mötley Crüe showed up to their gig in Los Angeles in style – by being dumped out of a garbage truck.
In a video shared on YouTube, the iconic metal band – comprised of Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, Vince Neil, and John 5 – arrived at the famed Los Angeles venue The Troubador on Monday (October 7) in the garbage truck for their first “Höllywood Takeöver” club show in the city.
Once the truck was stopped in front of the venue, bags of trash and a mattress fell out of the back before Lee jumped out into the piles of trash, gaining cheers from the crowd of fans that had gathered outside. The rest of the members proceeded to follow in Lee’s footsteps, hopping out of the truck and making their way through the crowd into the venue.

After entering the intimate venue, the band treated their fans to a 16-track set comprised of songs that span their career. They played the likes of ‘Live Wire’, ‘On with the Show’, ‘Too Fast for Love’, ‘Looks That Kill’, ‘Shout at the Devil’, ‘Dr. Feelgood’, ‘Kickstart My Heart’, and ‘Same Ol’ Situation’.
They also performed two tracks from their brand new EP ‘Cancelled’ which were ‘Dogs of War’ and a cover of Beastie Boys’ ‘Fight for Your Right’. Check out the full setlist below.

Previously speaking to NME about the creation of their song ‘Dogs Of War‘, Sixx shared: “There was no plan to actually record ‘Dogs Of War’. We were in the studio doing demos, and it always happens where we have a vision of a song but then other riffs come out from there. So while we were working on a song, this riff came out.”
“We had a ‘Blitzkrieg Bop’ [The Ramones] cover that we were talking about doing, but essentially we were just getting together to be creative. Then ‘Dogs Of War’ came out, as well as a couple of other ideas,” he added. “At the end of that day I went home and was watching A Handmaid’s Tale on Netflix, and here’s a saying in the show, ‘Don’t let the bastard grind you down’. So I wrote it down, then I wrote a lot of the lyrics pretty much from there.”
Mötley Crüe’s intimate show at the legendary Los Angeles venue marked the first of three shows as part of their “Höllywood Takeöver” club gigs created as a way to get the rockers back in touch with their Los Angeles club roots. The two remaining shows will take place tonight (October 9) at the Roxy and on Friday (October 11) at the Whisky a Go Go.
In other news, the band recently announced a Las Vegas residency for next year, with a run of 11 shows at Dolby Live at Park MGM in the spring.
