Youssou NDOUR touring in support of ‘Mbalax,’ playing NYC’s Carnegie Hall

Senegalese pop superstar and former Minister of Tourism of Senegal Youssou NDOUR will be in the US for a few shows this spring, including NYC's Carnegie Hall on May 13. Tickets for that show are on sale now.

Youssou's only other US show is in the Washington, DC area, at Bethesda's Music Center at Strathmore on May 31. He's also got European dates this summer and fall -- check out his current itinerary below.

Last year, Youssou NDOUR reteamed him with his former band Le Super Étoile de Dakar to make album Mbalax, which was a deliberate return to his Senegalese pop roots and the "mbalax" style he pioneered. You can stream that album below.
