Alicia Keys had some good news and bad news for her fans on Thursday (March 19).
Unfortunately, due to the need for everyone to practice "social distancing," the singer announced that she is postponing the book tour for her More Myself: A Journey memoir, which was slated to hit stages in four cities beginning in Brooklyn on March 31.
The good news is that the book will still be released that day, but for now her seventh studio album, Alicia, is being put on hold. "Everyone's health and safety is the #1 priority!" Keys tweeted. "Thank u for ur deep love, I'll let u know about new dates soon. Stay powerful!"
In even better news, Keys knows how weird these "social distancing" times are for everyone, so she's come up with a way to make the time pass a bit quicker while keeping a connection to her fans.
She shared her cell number on Friday morning (March 20), explaining, "I want to find ways to continue to connect with you. I really have love for ya'll... I'll be sending voice notes and maybe even sing u a little song." If you're interested, text her at (917) 970-2001.
