Billie Eilish wins Grammy for Album, Record, Song of the Year, & Best New Artist

The 2020 Grammys are a wrap, and Billie Eilish swept, winning Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best New Artist. Billie is the first artist to win all four awards in the same year since Christopher Cross in 1981.

For Album of the Year, Billie beat out Ariana Grande, Vampire Weekend, Bon Iver, Lana Del Rey, Lizzo, H.E.R., and Lil Nas X. "Can I just say that I think Ariana deserved this?" Billie said. Her brother/producer Finneas added, "We didn't make an album to win a Grammy. We wrote an album about depression, suicidal thoughts, climate change and being the bad guy... whatever that means. We stand up here confused and grateful."

For Song of the Year, Billie beat out Lady Gaga, Tanya Tucker, H.E.R., Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, Lewis Capaldi, and Lizzo). For Record of the Year, Billie beat out Ariana Grande, Lizzo, Bon Iver, Post Malone & Swae Lee, Khalid, H.E.R., and Lil Nas X. For Best New Artist, Billie beat out Lizzo, Lil Nas X, Rosalía, Maggie Rogers, Black Pumas, Tank And The Bangas, and Yola.

Billie was up for six awards total (tied with Lil Nas X for the second most, behind Lizzo who lead with eight), and she won five of them. The other was Best Pop Vocal Album, for which she out Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, and Taylor Swift.

Billie's album also won Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical. Finneas won Producer Of The Year, Non-Classical, beating out Jack Antonoff, Dan Auerbach, John Hill, and Ricky Reed.

The only award Billie was nominated for but did not win was Best Pop Solo Performance, which Lizzo won.
