Coachella returned for its first edition since 2019 over the weekend (4/15-4/17), with headliners Harry Styles, who brought out Shania Twain for "Man, I Feel Like a Woman" and "You're Still The One," on Friday; Billie Eilish, who brought out Damon Albarn, Pos from De La Soul, and Khalid on Saturday; and The Weeknd and Swedish House Mafia on Sunday. If you're wondering what The Weeknd and SMH's co-billed set entailed, it began with SHM, who brought out The Weeknd for their collaborations "Sacrifice" and "How Do I Make You Love Me?" from The Weeknd's new album, and then that segued seamlessly into The Weeknd's set. For his very last song, he brought SHM back out for another of their recent collaborations, "Moth to a Flame" from Swedish House Mafia's just-released debut album.
Weekend one of this year's festival also included sets from King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Daniel Caesar (who brought out Justin Bieber), Phoebe Bridgers (who brought out Arlo Parks), Lil Baby (who brought out Gunna), Mika, Princess Nokia, The Hu, Ela Minus, Amyl & The Sniffers, PUP, Spiritualized, Code Orange, The Avalanches, TOKiMONSTA (who brought out Tinashe), slowthai, The Marías, Arooj Aftab, Snoh Aalegra, IDLES, Arcade Fire (a surprise last-minute addition to the lineup), Carly Rae Jepsen (who debuted a new song, "Western Wind), Big Sean (who brought out Jhené Aiko), Baby Keem, Black Coffee, Cordae, City Girls (who brought out Moneybagg Yo), Peggy Gou, Daphni, Jayda G, and Anitta (who brought out Snoop Dogg and Saweetie) on Friday.
