Lana Del Rey brings out Billie Eilish for ‘Ocean Eyes’ and ‘Video Games’ at Coachella

For her headlining set at Coachella 2024, Lana Del Rey brought out a special guest performer in the form of Billie Eilish.

The pair of Del Rey and Eilish performed two songs together. First, they played a duet of Eilish’s ‘Ocean Eyes’ before launching into Del Rey’s own ‘Video Games’.

Following the performance, Lana Del Rey said to the young crowd that Eilish is “the voice of your generation”, adding that she is “so fucking grateful that she’s standing to me right now singing my favourite song of hers.”

In response, Eilish pointed to Del Rey and said: “This is the reason for half of you bitches’ existence, including mine.”

Prior to Eilish’s surprise appearance, Lana Del Rey brought out Jon Batiste to perform ‘Candy Necklace’, and invited Jack Antonoff onstage to play piano for ‘Hope Is A Dangerous Thing For A Woman Like Me To Have – But I Have It’.

Elsewhere for her set, Lana Del Rey showed up early for her set, riding to the stage on the back of a motorbike after having her Glastonbury 2023 set cut short due to curfew restrictions after showing up late for the headlining slot.

Her set closes out the first day of Coachella 2024. Other performers throughout the day included Sabrina Carpenter, Deftones – who covered The Smith’s ‘Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want’, Suki Waterhouse, who covered Oasis‘ ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’, Justice‘s return and more.

In other Coachella news, Shakira made a special guest appearance during Bizarrap’s set, during which she announced a new world tour. Sabrina Carpenter treated fans in attendance at the main stage to a visually stunning and hit-filled setlist and Lil Uzi Vert broke out the hits for their high-octane set.
