Moby has announced his 23rd studio album, ‘Future Quiet’, due out February 20th, 2026, via BMG. The release arrives with a reimagined version of his 1995 track ‘When It’s Cold I’d Like To Die’, now featuring Jacob Lusk of Gabriels.

Marking a reflective new chapter in his career, ‘Future Quiet’ explores themes of stillness, overload, and emotional refuge across eleven tracks. Moby describes the album as “a refuge from the screaming” of hyper-connected modern life, blending ambient soundscapes, piano minimalism, and intimate vocal features.

The lead single, ‘When It’s Cold I’d Like To Die (2026 Version)’, revisits one of Moby’s most beloved compositions — widely rediscovered via Stranger Things — now reworked with a soaring performance by Jacob Lusk. “His vocals are, I say with something approaching objectivity, transcendent,” said Moby.

The full album includes guest appearances from serpentwithfeet, Elise Serenelle, and India Carney. Notable track titles include ‘Precious Mind’, ‘This Was Never Meant For Us’, and ‘The Opposite of Fear’. ‘Future Quiet’ also features a new orchestral version of the opening track and several ambient compositions, continuing Moby’s long-standing interest in cinematic and emotional sound design.

Known for shaping the sound of electronic music across decades, Moby has sold over 20 million albums and worked with artists ranging from David Bowie and Public Enemy to Lady Blackbird and Øneheart. He has released music across techno, ambient, orchestral, and pop genres, and remains active as an author, filmmaker, and animal rights advocate.

The release of ‘Future Quiet’ will coincide with Moby’s biggest tour in over ten years, including appearances at Coachella and the On The Beach festival in Brighton on July 26th, 2026. Full tour dates are still to be announced.
