Coachella tickets and wristbands are gaining attention as collectible items, with resale listings reaching significant prices on platforms like eBay.

According to data from SeatPick, past general admission passes have appeared online for over US$3,000, while more recent 2024 wristbands and tickets have been listed at around US$2,000. Festival merchandise is also seeing increased demand, including early-era apparel such as a 1999 tie-dye shirt priced at US$500.

SeatPick CEO Gilad Zilberman points to long-term value as a key factor behind the trend. “If you managed to secure tickets for Coachella weekend 1 or 2, and aren’t precious about keeping it as a souvenir, you could be due for a big payday. Music memorabilia, especially for what can be a once in a lifetime event, can massively surge in value over time,” he explains.

Zilberman also notes that rarity and historical context can influence resale value, particularly for editions tied to notable performances or artists who may not return to the stage. He adds that preserving physical items is essential, advising fans to store tickets in dark, cool, and dry environments, ideally with UV protection to avoid fading or damage.

The same approach applies to merchandise. “The smartest move is to buy two if you can, one to wear, one to keep sealed away,” Zilberman says. “Fans often forget that today’s merchandise is tomorrow’s memorabilia.”
