Rock icons The Darkness have officially announced a surprise, intimate performance at London’s legendary Moth Club. The show, aptly titled “Crock Of Hits,” is scheduled for September 17 and serves as a high-energy precursor to the band’s highly anticipated 2025 UK arena tour in support of their upcoming album, Dreams On Toast.

Frontman Justin Hawkins and his bandmates shared the news via Instagram, inviting fans to join them for a special night of music. “The first rule of Moth Club is, don’t fly into the lightbulb,” the band joked in their announcement. “Come celebrate The Darkness on this special night and listen upon our works ye mighty and rejoice!”
The band described the setlist as a carefully curated “best of” experience, promising that the performance will “startle you” and “gently force you to succumb to its aural splendour.” Tickets for the event will be available via presale starting at 10am on September 8, with a general sale following on September 10.
This intimate gig arrives at a pivotal time for the Moth Club, which has been embroiled in a battle to survive following planning applications for residential developments nearby. The venue has garnered significant support from the local community and the Music Venue Trust, with thousands of objections submitted to Hackney Council to protect the grassroots space.
Following the Moth Club show, the band will continue their momentum into the winter, with their arena tour dates kicking off in December. Reflecting on their enduring connection with fans, the band noted that their December shows have become a staple of the festive season for many. “We’re just part of people’s festive period,” they shared, emphasizing their commitment to evolving as a rock band while maintaining the high-octane energy that has defined their career since their 2011 reunion.
