Laufey has officially announced the return of her highly anticipated annual celebration, A Very Laufey Day, for its 2026 edition. The Grammy-winning artist is set to host a diverse array of events across the globe, designed to share her personal vision of the perfect day with her dedicated fanbase.
This year’s iteration, scheduled for Sunday, August 23, carries the theme 'A Celebration of the Arts.' The programming aims to highlight the cultural pillars that have shaped the Icelandic-Chinese singer’s creative journey, spanning music, film, dance, theatre, and literature. With activities planned in over 75 cities across 25 countries, fans can look forward to a wide range of experiences, including live performances, museum exhibitions, and community meet-ups in local bookstores, cafes, and ice cream shops.
A Global Celebration of Culture
The scale of this year’s event is unprecedented, reflecting the artist's desire to bridge the gap between her audience—predominantly Gen Z and Gen A—and traditional cultural institutions. “This year it was really about focusing on the arts and culture and finding ways to bring this barrier of entry down between my audience and these kind of so-called high cultural experiences,” Laufey shared in a recent interview with Associated Press. “Whether it’s going to see an orchestra show, museums or galleries, we really want to find ways to connect with those institutions.”
Among the highlights are exclusive candlelight concerts held in 10 major cities, where attendees will experience reimagined versions of Laufey’s discography performed by string quartets. Additionally, fans will have the opportunity to attend screenings of the Night at the Symphony: Hollywood Bowl concert film at the Grammy Museum’s Clive Davis Theater and select AMC Theatres locations throughout the United States.
