Harry Styles has recreated his original X Factor audition, performing Stevie Wonder‘s ‘Isn’t She Lovely’ while dressed as his 16-year-old self. The performance served as a nostalgic highlight during the first of two ‘Harryween’ concerts at Madison Square Garden, marking the penultimate date of his mammoth 30-night residency at the iconic venue.

For the occasion, Styles initially appeared dressed as Elvis Presley, wearing the King’s signature white jumpsuit. However, the singer later changed into the exact attire he wore for his 2010 audition, complete with the youthful energy that launched his career. He jokingly recreated one of his most memorable comments from the show, telling the audience: “I work in a bakery.”

The original audition saw Styles arrive as a teenager from Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. While viewers initially saw him perform the Stevie Wonder hit a cappella, extended footage later revealed he had first attempted Train’s ‘Hey, Soul Sister’ before being asked by Simon Cowell to sing something without music. That pivotal moment led to his advancement in the competition and his eventual formation of One Direction alongside Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson.

This costume change was part of Styles’ revived ‘Harryween’ tradition, which has previously seen him dress as Dorothy from The Wizard Of Oz and Danny Zuko from Grease. As his residency at Madison Square Garden concludes, the singer continues to celebrate his journey from a bakery worker to a global superstar.
