Synth-pop band Bill & Murray shares a heart-pumping new song called “Rolling Stone.” The pair from Tel Aviv adds a unique contemporary touch to the 80’s techno sounds, engaging the audience with sing-along lyrics: “I don’t make a fuss/ I don’t care much about much/ cuz baby, I’m just a rolling stone.”
“Rolling Stone” carries a profound message that enlightens listeners and urges them to reflect on who they are and what they really want. The song is about feeling emotionally numb, dissatisfied, and empty. It addresses the question everyone has asked at one point in their lives; “What is the purpose of life?”
Bill & Murray consists of band members David Blau (guitar, vocals) and Stella Gotshtein (keyboard, vocals). The songwriters found each other years ago and joined forces for an experimental collaboration. They later released the debut album A New Kind of High in 2015 via the Russian label Other Voices, with the first singles from the LP; “Rabbit Hole” and “The Silence Grows,” earning the duo massive media recognition.
Joy Division, The Cure, The Stone Roses, Gary Numan, My Bloody Valentine, and Bauhaus, are a few of the artists who have influenced Blau and Gotshtein. The two have evolved a lot over the years, especially with the new song “Rolling Stone.” Bill & Murray is determined to create new sounds using old and real instruments like drum machines, guitars, banjos, pianos, and more.
